We had an eat in. Fish and chips and curry my partner Sausage, chips and curry. Really fresh meals, REAL fish! Friendly staff, clean tables/ floor. You can pay many ways (cash, card, Google pay, Apple pay). Suitable for people with disabilities - though the toilet is not, located on the first floor! Definitely worth a try, the best fish and chips shop I have ever tried in Southport. Great location, close (if not part) of the marine lake, and the pier.
Quality fish and chips! Fish was lovely had nice batter cooked to order , chips lovely not bitty like in some chippys . Came in a good packaging so easy to eat from . 10 out of 10 for Jackson’s will definitely return !!
Great lunch of fish and chip meal, 12.50 each, really tasty. Staff very pleasant and friendly. Be aware, upstairs loo and just the one so if you cannot manage stairs it may be a problem.
Popped in for takeaway sausage and chips. Large portion, very good quality, reasonably priced, staff handling coronavirus well with PPE, protective screen, hand sanitizer on entry for customers and distancing guidance on the floor with clear way in around and out system in operation. ...

We usually have a take away but decided to eat in on this occasion. We knew the chips were good but we had the cod and chips special and the haddock special. The fish was beautiful, the batter nice and crispy, not too thick, but the main thing for us was that the whole meal wasn't greasy in any way. The staff are very friendly and service was quick, the meal was hot so it had been freshly cooked. Will definitely be visiting again. Would recommend to anyone.

We've been visiting Jackson's for over 20 years...and no trip to Southport is complete without eating here. After a walk around the shops, we enjoyed a perfect Cod Special...then enjoyed the Xmas lights on Lord Street. Supporting Southport is obviously so important after the horrible year the town has suffered... so please go along and do your bit to help....and treat yourself to a Jackson's
